I'm in love with the Lemonade Lady

Wheaton Aston Festival  14 - 16th May 2004 we had a crush on Sally

I’m in love with the lemonade lady, and I’m just standing in line
I’m in love with the lemonade lady; I don’t want lemon and lime
I’m in love with the lemonade lady; she just does it for me
I’m in love with the lemonade lady, and I hope she’s got a crush on me.

I met her one May morning, standing in her stall
She was squeezing lemons and my heart began to fall
I gave her twenty shillings, and then she laid it down,
I took a glass I made a pass and skipped off into town

I got back to my camper, told my mates what I had seen
That standing in a kiosk was a lovely lemonade queen
I looked at her with thirsty eyes, a fragrant fruity flower
But when I think of the look she gave it was neither sweet nor sour

I went back in September, her season nearly done
My ramblin’ days were over, no more fruity fun
Before I left I saw her, to sing her my sad song
But when I got down to her stall the queue was twice as long
